BUSY AND RESPECTFUL WEEK!It has been a busy week in school, this first week back after half-term. Learning has been busy and driven, and all have been focused on showing respectful behaviours both in and outside the classroom – with the sun shining on the wonderful playground activities. We have also had external visits, providing the pupils with yet further opportunities to experience and learn. These included a musical visit from the Didgeridoo Man and another from the multi-talented artist, writer and poet, Ronnie McGrath.Ronnie McGrath, visited Key-Stage-2 in assembly to speak about his passion for writing and Black art. He created and performed poetry, with the children helping to create some hilarious and brilliant rhymes. It was a joyful assembly, where love of language was celebrated as well as an understanding of the contribution that people of colour have made to the realm of art and culture.Ronnie then also delivered a workshop to both Year 5 classes, which was though-provoking and inspiring. Ronnie commented on the wonderful engagement he had from our pupils and staff, and we are very proud of the respectful and enthusiastic attitude that they showed throughout the morning.Find out more about Ronnie by following this link: ronsurreal.com/Remember to ask your children about the experiences that they have had this week and what they have learnt.#KPS #kindnessperseverancesuccess #kpsexceptionaleducationalexperience ...
